What is Geo‑Cx?
Geo‑Cx is a construction operations platform that unifies time tracking, safety audits, quality control, and project reporting across web and mobile.
Who is Geo‑Cx for?
Company Admins/Account Owners, Construction Managers, Foremen, and Technicians working on job sites that require accurate attendance, safety compliance, and QC documentation.
How do I get access?
Your Company Admin (Account Owner) invites you by email/SMS. Follow the verification link to set your password or PIN.
How do I log in?
Web (Admins, CMs, Foremen): go to https://app.geo-cx.com/ and sign in with your email & password.
Mobile (Technicians and field users): use your phone number & PIN after verification.
What browsers are supported?
Latest Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox.
What roles exist in Geo‑Cx?
Company Admin (Account Owner): full access; purchases licenses; manages teams, projects, and roles.
Construction Manager: manages projects, crews, time approvals, reports; can be allowed to add Manual Time.
Foreman: supervises crews; time validation; can be allowed to add Manual Time.
Technician: punches in/out, submits forms, internal chats and report injuries.
Safety Rep (toggle for CM/Foreman): receives audit notifications and completes safety forms.
Can roles be changed later?
Yes. Company Admins/Construction Managers can update a user’s role at any time; the user receives a notification to verify changes.
What is “Master Data Management” and “Add Manual Time”?
Master Data Management: allows a CM to manage budgeting/project setup items and add resources.
Add Manual Time: lets CMs/Foremen record their own time entries in web (useful for corrections).
Time Tracking & Attendance: Punch In/Out, Lunch/Break, Manual Time (permissioned), Crew‑level views.
Projects & Crews: Assignments, Crew Strength %, multi‑project eligibility.
Safety Management: Scheduled Audits (Pass/Fail), Incident Reports, custom forms, configurable inspections, evidence, PDF exports.
Reports & Exports: attendance, timesheets, safety/QC results to XLSX/PDF.
Admin Console: roles & permissions, resource management (people‑focused), project setup.
Billing & Licensing: managed by Account Owner (Company Admin).
What’s not in scope?
Resource Management is focused on people (not inventory/tools). For asset tracking, contact sales about roadmap/Integration options.
How does punch in/out work?
Select your assigned project, tap Punch In to start tracking time and (if enabled) location. Tap Lunch/Break to pause, Resume Work to continue, and Punch Out to stop.
What if I forget to punch out?
Authorized users (CM/Foreman, or you if permitted) can correct entries using Manual Time.
How do Lunch/Break entries work?
Use the dedicated Add Lunch/Break fields. They appear in timesheet reports and payroll exports.
When is location tracked?
Only while you are punched in (and for any configured grace/auto‑punch windows). Geo‑Cx never tracks location when you’re off the clock.
iOS: what happens if I force‑quit the app?
If you swipe away (force‑quit) the app, iOS pauses background updates. Location and certain automations may resume only after you reopen Geo‑Cx. Keep the app open or in the background—not force‑quit—during your shift.
Does Geo‑Cx work offline?
Yes. The app stores actions locally and syncs when connectivity returns. Some features (maps, live dashboards) need a connection to update.
Battery or data usage concerns?
Typical usage is optimized for field work. Heavy GPS or media uploads may use more battery/data; keep your device charged and on a reliable network when uploading photos/videos.
How do I see the projects I can punch into?
Your Company Admin/CM assigns you to projects. On mobile, your assigned projects appear on the punch screen.
What is “Crew Strength %” on projects?
A quick reference for crew attendance vs. expected staffing for that project/crew. To see this metric, first add resources as a crew in Crew Management, then assign that crew to the project.
Can I be on multiple crews/projects?
Yes. Your Admin/CM controls assignments; you’ll see all your eligible projects.
What safety forms are included?
Audits: can be scheduled (daily/weekly/monthly) and marked Pass/Fail.
Incident Report: shipped as a customizable template.
Project Impact: blank by default for your custom setup.
Other: for custom forms that don’t fit a category.
Who receives safety notifications?
Users with the Safety Rep role (toggle for CM/Foreman) receive audit notifications via mobile and web.
Can technicians report injuries?
Yes. During Punch Out, users are prompted to indicate whether an injury occurred and can attach photos; incidents route to web for follow‑up. Also in their app there's a section to Submit an Injury in: Report Injury
Background operation (iOS)
If you force‑quit (swipe away) the app, iOS pauses background updates. Keep Geo‑Cx open or in the background during your shift. Reopen the app to resume updates.
Offline use
Actions queue locally and sync once online. Large photo/video uploads finalize after connectivity returns. You can punch in/out offline, and submit an injury.
Location permissions
Grant Allow While Using (or Always, if your company policy requires). Location is tied to punch‑in activity.
Phone number already in use
You likely have an existing account. Ask your Admin to resend the invite or contact support to reset.
What reports are available?
Today’s Attendance (quick view by project)
Attendance by Date (select a previous date)
Timesheet Reports (crew/user totals, overtime, lunch/break)
Safety Reports (audit pass/fail rates, incident logs)
Exports to XLSX/PDF vary by report.
Can I get consolidated payroll files?
Yes. Admins can export payroll‑ready summaries including overtime and break fields in Timesheet Reports.
Who can buy licenses?
Company Admins/Account Owners manage plans and licenses.
Why is necessary to purchase minimum 3 licenses?
To ensure Geo-Cx runs smoothly for small teams, assign at least one Company Admin, one Construction Manager, and one Foreman or Technician.
Do you offer trials or pilots?
Yes, contact sales at info@geo-cx.com
How are subscriptions billed?
Monthly or annually, invoiced to the Account Owner. Contact info@geo-cx.com for details.
Is my location private?
Yes. Location is only captured while you are punched in (plus any configured grace windows) and is used for legitimate business purposes like attendance verification. See https://geo-cx.com/geo-cx-privacy-policy/.
